The Faculty of Architecture and Landscape invites applications for the following position of salary scale W2 NBesO starting as soon as possible:
University Professorship in Digital Environmental Planning
The Position
The position focuses on innovative research approaches to interactive planning processes in environmental planning through scenarios, modelling and GIS-supported analysis, simulation and visualisation of spatial processes and data. The position teaches the application of methods for digital environmental planning, in particular through GIS.
Your Profile
To fulfill the above-mentioned tasks is expected and required:
- have an international scientific track record in the field of digital environmental planning
- have skills in the application of geographic information systems
- have excellent teaching skills, also in the English language
- be willing to contribute to the research foci of the Institute of Environmental Planning, the Faculty of Architecture and Landscape Sciences, the Institute of Earth System Sciences and the research centers of Leibniz University.
We are also looking for:
- Experience and success in acquiring third-party funding and/or patent applications at national and international level
- Experience in the supervision of early career researchers
