The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science invites applications for a

University Professorship (m/f/d) -Salary Scale W2 NBesO with Tenure Track leading to a W3 NBesO-in Computer Security and Privacy

starting at April 1st 2021. The initial appointment will be limited to 5 years. After positive evaluation, the candidate will receive a tenured professorship (salary scale W3).

The professorship is to represent the topic of computer security and/or privacy in research and teaching. The research profile should focus on one or more of the following areas: Data Security and Data Protection, Security and Privacy on the Web, Security of Mobile Systems, Security in Distributed Systems and Networks, Usability and Security, Human Centered System Security, Privacy by Design, Software Security and Cryptography.

Within the faculty, there are very good cooperation possibilities with the areas of Distri-buted Systems, System and Computer Architecture, Theoretical Computer Science, Soft-ware Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, as well as with the Research Center L3S, and integration into the activities of the faculty's key areas of research: Digital society, biomedical engineering and energy. Beyond the faculty, there are excellent cooperation possibilities with the CISPA - Helmholtz Center for Information Security in Hannover.

We are looking for an internationally renowned personality with experience in raising third-party funds. Participation in the compulsory teaching in the bachelor degree cour-ses is expected, as well as the representation of the subject computer security and privacy through further courses.

The successful candidate will be expected to hold selected courses in English.

General responsibilities and conditions of appointment apply, in accordance with the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz - NHG). Details will be provided upon request.

Part-time employment can be arranged upon request.
