The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science invites applications for a

University Professorship (m/f/d) -Salary Scale W1 NBesO -

in Privacy Friendly Software Systems

 

starting at April 1st 2021. The appointment be limited to 3 years. If the interim evaluation is positive, an extension for another 3 years is possible.

 

The professorship will represent the topic of Privacy Friendly Software Systems in research and teaching. The focus of the research profile should be an interdisciplinary approach to privacy friendly software systems. The professorship complements the subject area cybersecurity with the equally important aspects of technical data protection of software systems. Possible methodological foci are usable privacy, privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs), and privacy in software engineering.

 

Within the faculty, there are very good cooperation possibilities with the areas of Distributed Systems, System and Computer Architecture, Theoretical Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, as well as with the Research Center L3S, and integration into the activities of the faculty's key areas of research: Digital society, biomedical engineering and energy. Beyond the faculty, there are excellent cooperation possibilities with the CISPA - Helmholtz Center for Information Security in Hannover.

 

We are looking for an internationally recognized personality. Experience in the acquisition of third-party funds is an advantage. Participation in teaching computer security is expected.

 

General responsibilities and conditions of appointment apply, in accordance with the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz - NHG). Details will be provided upon request.
