The Faculty of Electrical engineering and Computer Science invites applications for the following position within salary scale W1 of the Lower Saxony salary system (NBesO) to be appointed at the earliest possible date:


Junior Professorship (m/f/d) of Salary Scale W1 NBesO for Quantum Learning & Algorithms


The position is limited to three years with a renewal option for a further three years.


The Position

  • Conducts research in the areas of quantum learning, quantum learning theory and quantum computability
  • Contributes to the research focus Intelligent Systems of the department
  • Teaches in the areas of quantum algorithms and quantum learning
  • Supports the physics department defining properties of quantum computers required for quantum algorithms

Your Profile

  • Several years of experience in quantum computing or machine learning
  • A dissertation in the area of computer science, electrical engineering or physics
  • Research focus on quantum algorithms, machine learning or algorithm development
  • Interest in teaching computer science students
