University Professorship (m/f/d)
-Salary Scale W2 NBesO with Tenure Track leading to a W 2 NBesO-
in Didactics in technical education with focus in construction engineering
starting October 1, 2020. The initial appointment will be limited to 5 years. After positive evaluation, the candidate will receive a tenured professorship (salary scale W2).
This newly established professorship represents the subject in teaching and research.
The teaching duties of the future holder of the position include the didactic basics in the vocational fields of civil engineering, paint technology and interior design as well as wood technology and its specialization in the vocational field of civil engineering in teaching for the teaching profession at vocational schools. This includes, in particular, experimental courses and teaching tasks on production engineering in the building trades.
The focus of this professorship is on teaching and learning research in the fields of industrial and technical disciplines with a focus on civil engineering. The research activities focus on changes in work, qualifications, technology and vocational training and the associated curriculum development and -revision in the industrial-technical fields. Innovative teaching methods and learning cultures are to be developed, which can be used particularly in the field of studies and in vocational schools. Both didactic and interdisciplinary aspects must be considered in equal measure.
The professorship participates in interdisciplinary research and projects of Leibniz School of Education in order to further establish the area of vocational teacher training at Leibniz University.
The applicant is experienced and academically proven in the development and application of didactical methods. The professional foundation in the technical fields with a focus on civil engineering must be proven. In addition to the didactic and scientific qualification, a three-year practical school experience is expected, which in individual cases can also be replaced by proven school or curricular projects.
General responsibilities and conditions of appointment apply, in accordance with the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz - NHG). Details will be provided upon request.
