in “Economics with a focus on Public Finance“
starting 1 April 2021.
Candidates must hold a PhD, and their qualifications are expected to merit the rank of tenured full professor. Successful candidates will show a strong record of research in leading international journals, excellent teaching evaluations and the ability to raise research funds. Candidates will strongly contribute to one of the School’s research foci. Past research should include taxation and institutional studies. Teaching in German and English at bachelor, master, and PhD levels is required. In teaching, the professorship is part of the Master's area "Accounting, Taxation and Public Finance". The applicant should have an appropriate teaching profile.
General responsibilities and conditions of appointment apply, in accordance with the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz - NHG). Part-time employment can be arranged upon request. Successful candidates who have reached the age of fifty by the time of appointment and who do not already have civil servant status will generally be given an employment contract.
